Wow! So jelous that you got to listen to Elder Holland, I can't wait till conference. I am so stoked. I am also stoked for all our investigadores and recent converts to hear the apostles and prophet speak. It will be so awesome. In one week I complete a third of the mission a full 8 months. I am so accustomed to being here it pretty much feel like this is my home. Well it is ha ha.

So sounds like Elder Holland gave a really good talk now you just got to take from what you learned and apply it in your life. Put in practica that which he taught. Just stay on the boat and you won't be disapointed. Ya we got problems in this life but we got to learn from them and grow from them. A scripture I like to share that goes hand in hand with fighting through problems is in alma 26 versiculo 27 it talks about when we are going through hard times and we just want to give up we just got to endure a little longer and the Lord will comfort us. He is always there with us. We will always come out on top if we are on the Lord's side. We will always win just got to fight through the trials in our life for a short time. God knows us and knows our problems and diffuculties. We just need to depend on Him. But we also have to do our part and act. For conference I think this time I will be able to go to the priesthood session and both sessions on Sunday which I am totally stoked for.

But as for me and my area, I am still here in Sebaco for another change but I did get a new comp, Elder Sarceno. He is from Texas and has one less change than me. He came fluent in Spanish but knows Enlish too. But even tho he is fluent in spanish I dominate the lessons. I freakin love teaching now that I can pretty much say waht I want to say during a lesson. I can pretty much teach what ever and help people resolve their doubts and answer questions. My bible is just marked up to the max and its' so organized and I am now doing a Book of Mormon. I just love searching scriptures especially when I find an answer to someone's questions. For example we have an investigator that is waiting on a sign or a vision or a dream cause a lot of people want that. And during my last studies I found the perfect scripture for him. It's found in DyC 63 :8-10. For some reason I have a new obsession to search scripture and it's awesome. I am learning so much. I can pretty much resolve what ever doubt or question they have from using the bible or the book of mormon. But ya my new comp is awesome. And totally had another way awesome click in speaking spanish. I love it.

So I finally got your package this week and the glow in the dark bracelets are freakin awesome. We partied with them. Where I eat dinner there are 6 kids and we had fun with them. No one here has ever seen glow in the dark bracelets so they were lovin them. And papa's tie is the tie that makes me work harder. Every time I wear it I decide I am representing paps and I got to work harder and make him proud.

This week in church we had 8 investigadores. It was awesome., I was so frustrated with my last comp that hated work and our numbers were going down but now I am comp mayor and we doin work. When I came to Sebaco there was 28 people in church and this past week we had 54 and hopefully we can keep lifted. With the comp i just had my last change we dropped to like 36 and it made me mad. I was so frustrated but now I am boss so hopefully we can find some success this change.

So I crossed off another thing on my bucket list ha ha. I got my hair cut like a Nica ha ha. I had my first hair cut in Nicaragua. Usually I just had someone with a shaver shave my heard but this time I went to the barberia and had the barber cut my hair like a Nica ha ha. It's a different form but its awesome ha ha. We call it the Nica Cut.

Well we have a possibility for this week that we have been working with for a while. I have seen a big change in him and I know he is ready just he doesnt know that he is ready yet. So we will see what happens. Before we met him he had smoked for more than 30 years and hadn't gone to church in 30 years. He is now over a month sober of smoking and has gone to church with us 2 times. His name is Luis.

I always seem to write something about Marlon so I will do that now. He wants to go to the temple so bad and he keeps meeting members of the church every where he goes and they talk and he learns something new then we teach him more in depth about it. Like this week he wanted to learn about the temple and when he could go and other more personal stuff. He has the thirst to learn more and it's awesome. He is pilas. His wife I think in time will be a member. She is starting to warm up to us a little bit at a time and Marlon told us that when we don't come she asks him where we are. Another cool thing I printed off a bunch of pictures for Marlon and this week when we went to his house he took one of the pictures and made a huge copy of it like 18x12 and framed it made it look all nice and it's hanging in his house. The pictures was from his Baptism of him, me, and all the members that came to his baptism. It is awesome. I have loved seeing the change in him. He is my best friend.

Well I got to go. I love ya and hope you enjoy the pictures I sent. I am pretty much sending you all the pictures I care about because so many cameras get stolen and the memoria gets erased and I don't want that to happen and if you have it all I am good to go. so for that reason I am sending so many pictures but love you.

I know that this is the true church. God gives us so many signs that this is the true church but sometimes there are just 1 or 2 things that make us second guess the truth even tho we have so many things telling us that we have the truth. We can never second guess the truth we have known all along throughout our whole life. I love this gospel and I know it's the Church of Jesus Christ.

Love you so much!

Well don't have much to write but solo just want to write about how awesome Marlon is and the awesome experiences he is having. So about a week ago he was visiting his friend in Leon or Chinandega I cant remember. But his friend started talking to him about how he found the true church and gospel and started going off about his church and how he knew with out doubt it was true but never mentioned the name of the church. But was just baptized into that church. After a little while of talking about their beliefs cause Marlon was sharing stuff as well they came to the conclusion that they were from the same religion. One of his friends that lived In a different city was also just baptized and became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ. It was awesome but the wife of his friend was not baptized and Marlon said when she told him that she wasnt baptized she asked him what he thought. And he said at that moment he shared his testimony with her and how he knew it was the true church.

Another story. We passed by Marlon's house this week and he was teaching his wife. His wife won't talk to us. She is pretty catholic she talks to us just not about the religionous stuff. So he started teaching her and gave her a pamphlet about the restoration and she started reading it. He is Pilas.

Another man this past week he told us he couldn't go to church cause his family was going to go to San Juan Del Sur for a vacation to spend time together as a family but ne knew the vacation would last through Sunday. So he told us he prayed and asked God for Permission to see if it was alright if he went on vacation with his family instead of going to church. Ha ha well funny story not really funny but the next day the tsunami and earthquake hit Japan and all the news reporters said that it was going to effect San Juan del Sur and that no one should be there and it was evacuated. So ha ha he recieved his answer so he ended up going to church.

Had a bomb PDay made pupasas and played volleyball with water balloons and towels and just had a huge water fight it was legit with the whole zone. I left my little book at home that reminds me what I need to write home about so really I dunno what to write. So I will keep this one short. Sorry if I let you down with exciting things but I guess you will have to wait for next week unless I can think.

Changes are this week. I think I am out of here I dunno. I hope they send me back to Jinotega. Presidente Guzman visited me today. I freakin love that guy.

I'll put this in there. I dunno if I wrote home about this but I saw a guy get hit by a car. He was crossing in front of the bus and I was in the bus and it didn't look very good and a taxi nailed him and he went flying and hit face first on the asphalt and was bleeding pretty good. He couldn't move and the taxi just took off. Really the police dont exist here. It is so different here. I can't tell you how many dead bodies I have seen on the television. Bodies that are still bleeding.

But ya know i love ya and miss ya.

So since you started off asking how the birthday was I figure I will write to you first about the best birthday I have had. This past week was awesome and full of fun. I already told you about what went down last pday with the little surprise thing. But Tuesday we made cake as a zone in the church and then the ZLs surprised me with a pinata. And everyone got a swing at it. It was awesome and way enjoyable. So Tuesday was a bomb day and monday as well and they werent even the days of my birth. But then came the actual birthday day. And when people would ask me .... What are you going to do for your birthday I would reply with "I am going to baptize my best friend." I said that everytime ha ha. Anyways so the hermans in our district gave me a sweet bracelet and sang to me as did many.

But also my birthday was the big day! The goal for Marlon. The goal that he set for himself. I saw him in the morning in a little bus and talked to him quickly. I could tell he was really nervous but didn't say anything about his nervousness. He wished me a happy birthday and we set a time for his baptism. We set it for 6 o clock Wednesday night. So we got everything prepared and went to his house so we could go together. We talked for a while and still I could see how nervous he was. He kept tellin us I'll meet you there at 6 but we didnt leave him. We walked together and talked about random stuff to try to take away the nervousness he had. So when we got to the church he talked to me alone just me and him. He told me how nervouse he was. At that moment a bunch of stuff came into my head about what to tell him. I told him many things and shared many things with him and shared my testimony. After that he asked me if I would join him in a prayer. So after that we prayed. And when we said amen he told me that he felt happy and he felt good and felt prepared. So we went outside to where everyone else was waiting for us. They asked him how he was and all he could say was prepared and ready. It was amazing. I love prayer and the comfort you can recieve from it. So we had an amazing baptism this week on my birthday which just made it the best birthday ever. After I baptized him he gave me the biggest hug it was amazing. We had been working with him for a little over 2 months till he felt prepared. So we grew close and I really felt like I baptized my best friend. Then after the Branch surprised me and him with a cake and soda and we just celebrated and just enjoyed the night of awesome.

So I sent pictures of a monkey and me ha ha awesome ya. Well the monkey was awesome and friendly until my comp pulled its chain and it got mad and attacked me like for real attacked me. If it wasn't on a chain I would be dead right now ha ha. You know how on videos when gorrillas attack. Ya that is what it seemed like... I just full on saw the rage of the monkey and it charged. I barely escaped.

So on the bus there are many people that play instruments and pretend they are blind. I would always say PRETEND they are blind even though it really seems like they are. But this past week the blind guy was playin the guitar and when he was done he walked through the bus askin for money and I gave him like 3 cords. And then we told me - gracias chele- which is proof he wasnt blind ha ha. I didn't say nothin just gave him 3cords and he says gracias chele. It made me laugh ha ha. Chele is a white person by the way.

So we are now in charge of a little branch up the road where a couple of members live. So we went to have sacrament meeting. 7 members came in. Total there was 11 and we just had a testimony meeting. 6 people shared their testimony and it lasted 2 hours. I feel like I heard the life story of 2 people. No joke I know their whole life. But I felt the spirit so strong during that testimony meeting.

I know that this church is true. Sometimes we go through times where we struggle with our testimonies but we should never doubt the truths we have always known. The truths we grew up with. The truths that we know are. I love this gospel. I know that this is the true church and that we really are Building up the Kingdom of God. I know with out doubt that we have a living prophet to guide us, teach us, and help us each day in our life. That the Book of Mormon is the word of God. That it really is another testament of Jesus Christ. I know with out doubt and with 100 percent surety that this is the Kingdom of God and the true church.

Love ya and miss ya all,

Love, Elder Moore

Well mother you are freakin awesome and I love you. Today we went to Dario, a city about 20 minutes south of Sebaco. They are part of our district. My district threw a surprise birthday party for me and it was freakin awesome and I loved it. We had it at a rich catholic lady's house. The missionarys in Dario eat there. She is awesome she is rich. Well rich for livin in Nicaragua and her house is really nice. This is the nicest house I have been in during my time in the mission.

We had cake, made brownies, ate and watched a movie. We watched Charly. That movie is so sad and awesome at the same time.

The Sports World sounds awesome and the jazz trading DWILL wow what a mistake but what ev que me importa the jazz arent my team ha ha. Still haven't recieved my package but I know it will get here soon and I can't wait. It will be awesome. Tomorrow we are going to make cake for our zone meeting cause I still have the cake mix you sent cause ovens dont exist in Sebaco where I am at. I'm about to leave the teenage years and jump in to the 20s how awesome. Legit i know kinda like me. I'm legit right?

Alright so I started teaching an english class and well when I teach I make the class call me Brother JMO. 2 reasons: Brother is in english and the J [ jay ] sound doesn't exist in spanish. So the class calls me Brother J mo and every week I teach the class [ palabras de la calle] words from the street like Awesome Thug Gangsta Swag...things like that and it's awesome. Ha ha but they are learning.

My goals for the mission go as followed: really I only have one that I like to focus on. A lot of missionaries here just throw people in the water the mission life here is so different than it should be. They just throw them in the water and the people go inactive. My goal is to really convert the people and not just throw them in the water. Like Marlon he shared his testimony with me and even tho he is not going to be baptized till Wednesday he tells me that he is already mormon. He has accompanied us to church 5 times and knows that which we are teaching him is true. And I have loved to see the change in him happen. He is now praying and reading the book of mormon everyday and has a goal to finish the book of mormon in 5 months. Really I just want to convert the people not baptize the people.

For you this is the advice I am going to give you. Download all the EFY songs or a lot and listen to them listen to what it is saying in each song I promise it will help you. As dumb as it might sound do it because they are very influencial and you can find many answers through listening to EFY. And just always read the book of mormon always and pray with faith real intention and sincere heart. Don't just pray, conversate with your father in heaven. He wants to talk to you. Give him the oppurtunity.

Know that I love you and I know that this church is true with out a doubt in my mind if i didnt i wouldnt be here. I love this work ya its hard but life aint about takin the easy road out. Love ya and Miss ya

February 21, 2011

Ya ya it's Monday! So to start off the white comp I had well he had emergency changes and now I am back to a latin comp. They called Elder Myers last Monday and he left Tuesday to Puerto Cabezas and that is where my comp came from. He is awesome but iIhave only known him for about a week and don't want to jinx anything but we get a long good. It's like we are friends not just comps stuck together and it's awesome.

But this week I had a horrible sleeping schedule. Tuesday I had to wake up at 4 and go to Managua cause of the changes and then Wednesday night at like 10:30 we got a call and said we had to be in San Icidro other city in Esteli at 4:45 in the morning which was impossible cause there is no bus at that time in the morning. So we were trying to figure out what to do and ended up taking a 30 minute taxi ride at midnight to a city called Dario where we slept kinda. We woke up at 3:30 am and took a bus to Leon. Our destination was Chinandega cause we had a multi zona conferencia there. So we woke up at 3:30am and took a bus to Leon and then took a miniature bus to Chinandega. Thursday I spent like 5 hours traveling just to get to Chinandega and like 3 and half hours to get back. It was horrible and with no sleep it's been a rough couple days with out sleep.

So ya I am totally about to leave the teenage years. They will be missed but what ev aint nothing I can do about it. I will no longer be a teenager in like 10 days, I dunno how far away it is.

I do approve of Laynies boyfriend as long as he treats her good and it sounds like he does ha ha. How old is he? I am so jealous ha ha guys with girls. Man i miss being with a girl ha ha. One day. I just spend my days with another guy its awesome but girls psh they are well they are girls.

Psh Brooklyn can't drive ha ha she is still a young child. That is so crazy she is growing up so fast. And her truck better be freakin awesome and she better not wreck it. Is she a good driver like me or did she end up like Brandon?

Yesterday in the night I got eatin alive by fleas but it's ok I am a man about it. It just itches real bad. I am infected but don't worry about me.

So this past week Jorge a Recent convert went fishing and came back with a bunch of fish. He asked me if I wanted some I said sure. Well here in Nicaragua they take the fish straight from the river throw it over a fire for like 5 minutes and call it good with scales and fins and all. Ha ha I ate it cause I am awesome and do awesome things like that and it actually tasted good.

Also this week we were at a house of other recent converts that just moved here and before we left they wanted to play a game and they asked me to pick a game. So I chose to play BOMBA. None of them had played it before but I explained to them how it was played. And the losers had to eat hot chilis. And we all know that I was born to win but my other 3 team mates weren't so we lost and had to eat freakin hot chili. And my mouth burned to the max but it was legendary but what makes it even more legendary was that before I ate the chili I was playing with it in my hand and then all the sudden my eyes itched both of them so I itched both of my eyes and well I had chili on my hand and my eyes well stung to the max. I couldn't open them. They were red and it was sweet. It stung pretty good. Gave me some good pain but I was a man about that too ha ha.

So this week we are going to have a baptism hopefully. We talked to him today and he is still down. But I want you to pray for Marlon Molinares. He is awesome and I love him and we have been working with him for like a month and a half and has been to church 4 times. It is just he set his own personal goal to be baptized and the goal he set was the 26th of this month. It will be so awesome to see him get baptized. I cant wait. He is the man ha ha. And we still have the baptismal date for the 5th of March for the family. They are so awesome.

I love the mission and finding new people to share the gospel with and just becoming friends with the people this really is a life changing - life helping experience and I love it. Ya I miss home and friends some times but there is no place I would rather be then here with the people I am with. I love it. I love helping change the life of some one else who is in need of help. This gospel has so much to offer and many people miss out on the many blessings God has for them. This Evangelio gives Happiness. I have such a strong testimony of this Church something I have never had before. But I have found it here on the Mission where I have devoted 2 years to Serve the Lord and To bring the truth to those that don't have it. To help serve another. THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS IS THE TRUE CHURCH I know it, I have felt it, and I am here with a purpose to share my testimony with others.

I love you miss ya,
Elder AwesoMoore

Psh i dont believe in a Valentines i believe in girls but psh valentines no.. But i gladly accept your request. I will happily be your valentines even tho we are thousands of miles away know i love you and you'r eare the best valentines. They do celebrate valentines day here many people asked me yesterday if we celebrated valentines day en estados unidos i told them of course we invented that day. Cause we are americans and we are awesome and we invent stuff like that. But ya if people didn't ask me about valentines day yesterday i would have forgotten.

That is legit about your bathroom i am excited to see pictures of it. But its a downer that your computer is like a girl and just throws fritz. Maybe you should have bought a mans computer and it wouldnt have had so many problems ha ha. Thanks for hittin me up on the facebook info ill make sure to sign in and rsvp. Gah that is so crazy they gettin married. I better be an uncle or close to by the time i get back. That would be so awesome.

So Jerry Sloan finaly realized that he was never going to win and just retired ha ha well good for him. Ha ha in the middle of the season what a clown. Are the jazz just suckin this year or why did he retire other than the fact he knew they were never going to win.

So something i have really come to miss being here is going to the temple it was so awesome going every week in the mtc but now i am like 5 months free of going to the temple and it sucks. The temple is so awesome its that bomb.

I have not gotten my package yet but thou shalt not worry it is on the way and i have faith it will get here before my birthday. I hope ha ha

so this week we met someone named felizpedro ha ha ya that is his name happy peter ha ha just throwin that in here. So this week we worked really hard reactivating people. And we had many come to church this week that hadnt been to church in a while. So it was awesome to see people come to church again.

This week we found and taught a way sweet family. We shared the message about the restoration with them and when my comp shared the first vision i felt the truthfulness of it. It just nailed me the spirit testified to me at that moment so hard harder then i had ever felt during the sharing of the first vision. And the dad of the family felt it too and his face completely changed. After we asked him how he felt during the first vision. And he explained that which he felt. It was amazing it was such a powerful lesson. And it totally just animated me and gave me so much energia. Just made me so stoked to the max. But we are preparing him and his 5 kids for baptism for the 5 of march.

Know that i love you and miss you and i know with out doubt that this is the true church. Really it is kinda obvious ha ha. I have learned so much out here and i am continuing to learn each day i am out here its amazing and awesome.

Know i love ya and miss ya but it is only 17 months till i will see you again. 17 more fast sundays what up cuz aint no thing.
.
Love You Elder AwesoMoore

Hey,

Well since you started off writing about the superbowl i guess i will start off writing about it too. To be honest didnt even know it was yesterday but i dreamt about the superbowl last night. I woke up and told my new awesome white comp what i had dreamt. I told him i dreamed the superbowl and the Packers were playing the Steelers and the Packers won 21-14. And at the end of the game the steelers had a chance to win it or tie with a touchdown. And the packers stopped them. Even tho i didnt see the superbowl i kinda did in my own form with the same team winning so that was awesome. To be honest i didnt even know who was in the Superbowl but i dremt the correct 2 teams. Awesome....

So i am glad to hear westons baptism went great. That is awesome. Wish i could have been there for it but o well i am here and i will be back for when Laynie gets baptized so that will be awesome. Glad to know i won by a landslide on the voting against brandon. But i am hoping that brandon wasnt there. Or else he would feel bad now. Him and his poor little sensitive feelings ha ha.

I want to encourage all to read the Book of Mormon, to understand it and apply it not just read it to read it. But really understand it and how it applies to us. The Book of Mormon will change lives. The Book of Mormon is the most powerful tool in conversion. Trust me it will do the work. No one should be an unbeliever of how the Book of Mormon saves lives. But after people read it they will understand. If people doesnt believe it is real at this moment they need to read it and everynight after reading it people need to pray and ask our Father in Heaven if what they read is true. And if people will do that i promise they wil come to the knowledge that the Book of Mormon really is Another Testament of Jesus Christ.

Dude for real Brooklyn painted that. That is amazing i thought that you attached something you bought it is amazing. That is so well done. She could sale that for thousands but i encourage her not to. But that is an amazing piece of art. I am really really impressed.

Alright well i did get a new comp this week. But before i get into that i decided last tuesday to return with my comp. And when i returned he didnt talk to me for 2 hours and then all the sudden he started to talk and everything gradually went back to normal like nothing had happened. He said that has never happened with anyone before. But like i have said and will continue to say for ever. I am AWESOME. that was the key in it ha ha. Just kidding i am sure there was a lot more to it. But he did get changed out of Sebaco and i am still here. I got a white comp he has one more change then me. His name is Elder Myers. And i cant tell you how awesome it is to have a White comp that wants to do work as well. And we can work together to make progress well just to be straight up its LEGIT.

So i got a bunch of letters this week that were sent from December before christmas. Sister Peterson sent me a card and she wrote it had money in it but i didnt find the money so that was a downside but it was awesome to get the letter. And all the letters from the ward. Throw out a thank you to them.

So we have been teaching a lot of people and trying to reactivate the less actives. And we have been focusing a lot on the Book of Mormon. and this week we taught a lesson with a member and when we asked her to bear her testimony about the book of mormon she said something legit She just straight up said. The Book of Mormon is Eternal Life. Which it really is but ill just let you think about it.

But the Family that we baptized Family Machado like 3 weeks ago, the dad got the priesthood yesterday and the Son it was awesome. It made me so happy. A miracle really took place in his life. Before his baptism he had smoked almost everyday for years. and two days before his baptism we got him to finally completely give it up and here we are 3 weeks later and he still hasnt smoked or touched a Cig its like he just dropped it all at once. Through the Help of the Book of Mormon and Prayer.

Well its kinda long know i love you and by the end of this change i will be about 1/3 of the way done so you can wait 3 times longer ha ha AINT NO THANG.

Love ya,
Elder AwesoMoore
